Why is a 60-minute journey taking a real hour?
With the default simulation interval, one real-world minute is one game minute. The normal game does not use an accelerated clock. Operating costs accrue while the route runs, and passenger fares normally settle when each scheduled working completes; completed travel may also be recognised after a late cancellation.
Why did my cash change while I was away?
Services, operating costs, contracts and government grant continue in real time while you are away. After five minutes or more, the Welcome back panel summarises the credited and charged amounts when you return.
Why is my route cancelling trains when enough units are assigned?
An assigned unit may be in maintenance, fault recovery or another unserviceable state. Compare assigned trainsets with serviceable trainsets and inspect the affected working in the timetable.
Why did maintenance disrupt my route?
A future booking starts automatically at its scheduled real-world time. If the train is still allocated, the route loses that unit until the work finishes; an available spare is not substituted automatically, so release and reallocate units before the appointment.
Why did demand remain low after I fixed the problem?
Passenger satisfaction deliberately has a memory. Repeated good service will rebuild it, but trust does not return in a single minute.
Why am I paying a depot positioning charge?
The train’s home depot is not one of the stations on its new route. Rebase the available train if it will work in that area regularly.
Why did an accepted contract become unprofitable?
One or more frequency, operating-span, capacity, delivery or punctuality checks are failing. The route page shows current compliance and the full obligation.
