About this ticket

Multi-journey bus and train ticket for travel in Cornwall.

Travel on all trains and most bus services throughout Cornwall using just one ticket. The area of validity covers all of Cornwall which includes the lines to Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth, Looe, Newquay and Gunnislake plus it is also valid as far east as Plymouth in Devon.

The Ride Cornwall ticket also enables visits to the Eden Project near St Austell, Land's End or the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth (admission tickets must be purchased separately).

A family version is also available for two adults and up to three children.

When is my ticket valid?

RAIL - Available from 09:00 (Monday-Fridays)* and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, plus the following additional trains:

08:09 Plymouth - Penzance

08:28 Plymouth - Gunnislake.

08:16 Liskeard - Looe.

From 7th September 2025 the following rail validity will apply:

Valid from 08:45 on weekdays*

*Also valid on the following trains:

  • On all services on the St Ives branch line
  • 08:28 Plymouth to Gunnislake (any journey on this train)
  • 08:09 service from Plymouth to Penzance (valid from Plymouth and all stations west of Plymouth)
  • 08:16 service from Liskeard to Looe (any journey on this train)

Note: when train times change, Ride Cornwall becomes valid on the equivalent service.

*Easements are in place over Christmas and New Year. Check back for exact dates.

Valid only on services of the following Train Operating Companies, within the area shown on the map below:

  • Great Western Railways

BUS - Available All day Monday to Sunday including Bank Holidays.

Available on all bus routes operated by First Kernow and CityBus / Go Cornwall. Key destinations within the area of validity include Lands End, The Eden Project, Lizard Point, Perranporth, Boscastle and Bude. Use of buses to/from Plymouth is restricted to direct bus services to/from Cornwall only, for journeys originating or terminating in Cornwall (i.e. not valid for local journeys within Plymouth).

Booking Deadlines

No reservations are needed.

Rover and Ranger tickets may not be issued more than 3 days in advance of their validity (5 days for telesales and internet bookings).

Changes & Amendments

The ticket has unlimited travel but you cannot change the travel validity period of travel passes.

Refunds

Refunds are only available on unused tickets surrendered before the day of travel and may be subject to an administration fee.

Where to Buy

Ticket offices and travel centres, self-service ticket machines at stations, rail-appointed travel agents, online at most train company websites or through other online retailers or train company telesales offices.

Can also be purchased on board buses within the Cornwall area.
